The Absolute Basics of Yoga
(Thursdays from 5:15-6:45pm & 7:00-8:30pm)
Based on the principles of Vinyasa, this all levels class is a safely guided exploration of one’s unique range of motion and strength in the context of organic movement. The word “Vinyasa” simply means movement coordinated with breath. As related to Manifest Yoga, a vinyasa is a series of postures performed as a link between poses so that over time the practice becomes a fluid wave of motion guided by breath. We teach at the skill level appropriate for all students, so the experience is accessible to beginners while still challenging to experienced practitioners. Components of the class include breath technique, joint-opening movements, utilization of blocks, standing and sitting postures, followed by deep relaxation.

Private sessions are great for those wanting to get a jump on the basics before entering a class situation and for intermediately skilled students who wish to take their practice to the next level.
Private absolute beginners series (4) 75 minute sessions @ $240
New students will gain foundational knowledge of yogic breath, vinyasa, sun salutations, sitting and standing postures, introduction to back bends and inversions, as well as deep relaxation.
Thai-Yoga Therapy (otherwise known as Lazy Man's Yoga) $70 / hr; $100 / 1.5hr
The bodywork is a series of assisted stretches in which an appropriate amount of pressure is applied to areas of the body in need of release. Using the universal principles of alignment and hands-on assists (not much different than a gentle yoga assist), the recipient and practitioner work together to alleviate tension in deep connective tissue and realign the skeletal system. It’s like having a full yoga class performed on your body!
